Anna Taylor is a senior at Holy Innocents Episcopal School in Atlanta. Anna is dedicated to helping the people of Haiti not only with the disaster recovery efforts after years of devastating hurricanes, but she is also committed to reducing Iodine Deficiency Disease through her work with University of Notre Dame on the Haiti Salt Project. That project is focused on methods of iodizing salt throughout the country through innovative methods to help stem the tide of mental retardation and deficiencies in thyroid glands of children in Haiti. For this, she raised more than $1,000 to create a brochure to identify salt ponds along the Haiti coastline.
