Brian Duffy is a sophomore at Lambert High School in Cumming. Brian has been a triathlete for eight years. When he was 12, he was inspired by an Ironman triathlete with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Brian went on to raise money for research and he founded the Run for Life 5K, an annual event in Cumming that has raised more than $30,000 in three years to benefit the Emory ALS Center. Brian continually educates others about ALS, from speaking at a local Kiwanis meeting to writing school essays and research papers.
