Marquita Gaines is a senior at Marietta High School in Marietta.  Marquita is a founding member of the FACE Foundation, Inc., a new nonprofit organization formed with the desire to assist families in the sickle cell community and to raise awareness of the disease in the mainstream media. She serves inspirationally as president of the Youth Advisory Committee for the FACE Foundation’s youth group and also volunteers at the American Red Cross and the Atlanta AIDS Walk.
