Ryan Ernstes is a junior at The Walker School in Marietta. While in the 8th grade, Ryan founded and organized a charity race called the Hot Lips Hustle 5K. The race combined her love of running with a desire to help children who, like herself, were born with a cleft lip or palate. Proceeds from the annual race in Marietta go to The Smile Train, a non-profit organization that funds surgeries for cleft children worldwide. Ryan and her family manage the race, which has raised enough money to fund surgeries for 95 cleft children.
