Veronica Coates is a senior at Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta.  Veronica has volunteered to improve the lives of girls.  She helped create a workshop for adult service providers that showed how to provide youth-friendly services.  Veronica co-wrote a play, produced a video and led discussions with more than 100 adults about current issues in health education.  She also served as a camp facilitator and, with seven other girls, developed a comprehensive camp for middle school girls.  Veronica built relationships with partner agencies, arranged the schedule, planned logistics, designed promotional materials, facilitated workshops and coached campers in writing.
