Returning Students
New Students
New students may apply for program membership beginning in their freshman year in high school until any point through their junior year. Students must be nominated and/or recommended by one teacher,counselor or adult leader who can give specific information about your academic record, personalities, and abilities. Applications are accepted throughout the year and will be reviewed monthly by the 21st Century Leaders Selection Committee. Students are encouraged to fill out the application carefully because acceptance is not guaranteed.
Applications are reviewed the second week of each month, so students will be notified of acceptance status during the third week of the month.
Application Steps
Step 1. Complete the New Student Program Membership Application online. After filling in the answers, press Submit (the answers will still appear on the page), press Exit, and then close the window. Applications can be submitted throughout the year and will be reviewed the second week of each month.
Step 2. Have a teacher, counselor, or adult leader fill out the online Teacher Recommendation Form. The recommendation form is only needed for new students.
Step 3. Watch the mail for your acceptance letters.
Step 4. If accepted, register for an upcoming event.

- To participate in an annual, one-week program on a college campus each summer.
