Jasenka Besic, a graduate of Shiloh High School in Snellville, is a sophomore at Oglethorpe University.  A refugee from the Bosnian war of the 1990's, Jasenka has helped over 100 younger refugee children as a volunteer at Refugee Family Services in Clarkston.  In addition, while still in high school, Jasenka created a peer tutoring program for middle schoolers in Stone Mountain called “Rise Above.”
