Who are 21st Century Leaders?
Diverse high school students from all across Georgia who have been nominated by schools and community programs to participate in a long-term leadership development program because of their high leadership potential.
21st Century Leaders have a strong commitment to improving themselves and helping others; they have a high degree of personal initiative and integrity; they are proactive, enjoy a challenge, like to "think outside the box," and have fun!
How can I become a 21st Century Leader?
Students may apply for program membership during their freshman up through their senior year of high school. Once accepted into the program, students then register for each specific event.
What is my commitment as a 21st Century Leader?
- To participate in an annual, one-week program on a college campus each summer.
- To attend, when possible, annual Weekend Retreats.
- To serve your community through projects designed by you and other 21st Century Leaders.
- To keep in touch once you graduate so you'll know about alumni events, internships and volunteer/job opportunities!
What is the cost?
There are registration fees for each 21st Century Leaders. Summer Institute 2008 fees are $195; Fall Rally Day is $15; the cost of Winter Leadership Weekend is $55. Our fees represent about 20% of the total program cost for a year, including overnight retreats and other training events; the rest is funded through generous contributions and grants from corporations, foundations and individuals.
