Youth Action Centers are operated within high schools and community organizations to provide service and leadership opportunities for all students. Our Youth Action Centers are based upon the United Way volunteer center model and are funded in part by grants from FRESH and United Way. At the centers, high school students initiate, plan, promote and implement community service projects in conjunction with a school advisor and other school clubs. They learn responsive leadership, budget planning, and management and communication skills.
