On September 22, 2018, over 75 high school students from across Georgia attended 21st Century Leaders’ Leadership exCHANGE fall summit, which was sponsored by MarketSource. They received wisdom and advice from keynote speaker Mike Christensen, Executive Vice President, MarketSource, worked in groups on case studies to propose solutions for real-world sales, recruiting, and innovation challenges, and experienced how to “Get to the Sale.” Thank you to all volunteers and to MarketSource for a great training event!

My name is Maahi Jain and I am a junior at Milton High School. Recently, I took part in 21st Century’s Leadership exCHANGE Fall Summit. This year, the summit was sponsored by MarketSource, an expert in sales and innovation. MarketSource leaders came and discussed their experiences as a leader and inspired us to make a difference in our community. We also discovered new career opportunities within sales, and we got to network with professionals such as Mr. Bridges Holmes, Senior Manager of Diversity & Inclusion at MarketSource and a 21st Century Leaders Board of Directors member. Another part of the event that I also enjoyed was hearing from Mr. Mike Christensen, Executive Vice President, Retail Services. He explained to us a little about his role in MarketSource but more importantly about taking pride in your work and servant leadership which I though was very important. We also got the opportunity to work in groups to explore all career fields within MarketSource.

From this leadership opportunity, I enjoyed being able to meet these professionals and work with other group members to brainstorm ideas for better ways of hiring professionals. I was able to make connections and learn about new fields in business and their aspects. The Leadership exCHANGE has really helped me gain insight on the exchange of ideas, thoughts, and career opportunities within the business field.
