EarthCare: The Leadership Challenge for the 21st Century is a week-long environment-focused leadership development program held the second week of June at the campus of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. If you love to be outdoors, interested in the environmental or engineering field, or want to challenge yourself and your leadership skills, then EarthCare is for you.

Sponsored by Georgia Power, EarthCare exposes you to various environmental and leadership challenges through interactive workshops, tours, and round-table sessions with Georgia Power business leaders, team-building exercises including a high-ropes course, and other professional development experiences.

All cost for room, board and program materials are covered by Georgia Power. Students will reside in the college dorms at Georgia College & State University, supervised by 21CL staff.

EarthCare Requirements

  • APPLICATION DEADLINE is March 15, 2020.
  • Must apply to 21st Century Leaders and be a rising sophomore, junior or senior Georgia high school student.
  • Must have some interest in professional development, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and leadership.
  • An application and recommendation form (for new students) are required.
  • This program is highly competitive. Only 100 students are selected.
